Hey HR babes!
This blog is just a little recap on those Insta stories I recently shared about fashion personalities.
Knowing your fashion style helps tremendously with shopping, expressing yourself and figuring out what to wear. Your visual representation, often plays a big role in first impressions and introduces you before you speak. The way we style our clothes and accessories reflects on our personality, character, mood, style and overall, who we are as individuals.
These fashion personalities can have many subsections and we can be a mix multiple. Being knowledgeable of your style can help you in many ways. You’ll have a better idea of what you’re looking for when shopping for new clothes and accessories. Knowing the difference between clothes you like and clothes you’d actually wear, can also help you decrease your “fast fashion” footprint by preventing you from purchasing pieces that would only sit on in your closet because in reality, you may like what you bought, but you wouldn’t wear it.
After recognizing my fashion style, I went through my closet and donated all the clothes that no longer suits my style and kept the pieces I’d actually wear. And let me tell you…I got rid of some super cute pieces! It’s just never on my radar when choosing outfits; so we had to part ways. I’ve now been able to put outfits together much quicker because everything in my closet compliments my two main fashion personalities.
To help you better understand your fashion style, here’s how I’d describe mine!
Relaxed is my GO-TO. Serving a cute effortless look for a day of “MOM-ing” and running errands! These outfits usually consists of something easy to throw on like a comfy overall/jumper or the casual jeans and top, completed with a cardigan or a jacket! This expresses the outgoing, go with the flow, side of my personality.
When I’m feeling empowered and productive while having a (rare) child free moment, I love to rock the classic chic look. I enjoy creating business casual outfits with good basics and versatile pieces. Expressing my minimalist side, and preference for a clean structurally put togther look without standing out.
With relaxed and classic being my to main fashion styles, I usually know what I’m looking for when shopping. Always on the hunt for Quality, versatile pieces in neutral colors and lots of outerwear… rather than printed, colorful or dressy pieces that would sit in my closet.
I have my romantic (girly) moments too! But for the most part, those looks are reserved for special occasions like parties, baby showers, weddings and nights out!
